Why Yoga?
I began doing yoga as a child with my mother. Growing up in a family of dancers anything that increased strength and flexibility was a plus. And until my mid 20's that was the singular purpose of yoga in my life. But then something changed dramatically. I opened up to the transformative properties available through yoga.
As a psychotherapist my goal is always to meet my clients where they are, to teach them to recognize and embrace their strengths and their weaknesses, and to utilize this self-knowledge to thrive within their environment. When I step on to my mat I am teaching myself the same principles.
The marriage of psychotherapy and yoga is a natural one for me. Our bodies hold our experience just as our minds do. Through yoga we can reach this experience and come to a greater understanding of ourselves. I welcome you to join me on the mat to bolster the work that we do in the office.
